Abstract
Peer-to-peer accommodation networks are a global phenomenon. Many cities and states around the world are facing significant regulatory challenges because of the high demand for peer-to-peer network accommodation. This chapter discusses that challenges which have arisen and how a number of cities and states around the world – including New York, San Francisco, Paris, London, Amsterdam, Berlin, Barcelona, ReykjavÃk, Tokyo and Tasmania – have introduced new or changed existing regulations to address those challenges.
