Dr Maureen Brookes is a Reader in Marketing and a Teaching Fellow within the Oxford School of Hospitality Management at Oxford Brookes University. She is currently President (elect) for ICHRIE, Maureen is also a Past President of EuroCHRIE. Her research and publications are on franchising and plural organisations, covering diverse topics such as partner selection, entrepreneurship, relational development and knowledge transfer.

Levent Altinay is Professor of Strategy and Business Development, Research Area Leader for Oxford School of Hospitality Management, Oxford Brookes University, UK. His research interests are in the areas of entrepreneurship, strategic alliances and international business with particular interest in how entrepreneurs start up and develop their businesses and establish partnerships internationally. He is widely published and sits on the editorial boards of more than twelve journals including Journal of Services Marketing, The Service Industries Journal, International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management and Management Decision.
